Carbide Inserts

Our carbide inserts are manufactured to our specifications at a specific cutting angle and are 80% thicker than the industry standard, enhancing durability and minimising ‘catching’. WIZE TOOLS offers four carbide insert shapes.

  • W Insert: A versatile all-rounder for roughing, shaping, shear scraping, and hollowing. It excels in shear cutting operations.
  • Square Inserts: Ideal for machining flat surfaces, shaping, hollowing, fluting, and forming tenons and mortices for 4 jaw chucks.
  • Round insert: Perfect for shaping and smoothing hollowed surfaces, producing coves, fillets, ogees and hollowing.
  • V Insert: Features both a sharp pointed and a slightly rounded end. Excellent for detailed work like forming Vee grooves, reeds and necklines.

The seating arrangement allows for changing the orientation of the insert, providing multiple uses for a single insert. The ‘W’ can have rounded or pointed faces, the ‘Square’ can have flat or pointed faces, and the ‘V’ can be oriented to have a slightly rounded or sharp pointed face.

WIZE TOOLS also offers negative rake inserts for turning resins and hard woods.
